Dan Astner
Board Member - Ferintosh
Dan Astner is the Chairman on the Executive & Board Governance Committees for Battle River Power Coop and has been with the Association since 1981.
Other Boards and Committees Dan has been actively involved with, include but are not limited to the following: Hog Board, Board Chairman for the AFREA, Local Gas Cooperative, Alberta Representative for the Pork Council, Gold Eye Foundation and REDA Board, Advisory Government Pool, UFA Advisory Committee, and Local Recreation Association.
Dan was born in Camrose and raised on a farm in Bittern Lake up until the time he moved to Manitoba to attend the University for Agriculture. After University he and his wife moved back to Alberta and in 1978 started his family-run Hog and Grain Farm.
Dan and his wife, Darlene have two children and seven grandchildren.
