Patrick Hilgartner
Director - Camrose County
Patrick Hilgartner was born and raised on his family's farm northwest of Camrose. He graduated from Olds College in 1995 with a Farm and Ranch Degree.
Today, Patrick manages a grain farm, alongside his father Ralph and brother D'Arcy, and runs a cow-calf herd with his wife Kelly and their four sons.
Patrick is known for his quick learning ability, problem-solving skills, and strong teamwork. His past board experience includes roles as an Armena 4H leader, a member of the 4H Beef Committee, and the Hay Lakes Ag Society's 4H representative.
"Being born and raised in the County of Camrose I've always had an appreciation for the utilities that are supplied to us. Navigating, supplying and maintaining utilities in a rural area with Alberta weather I believe can be challenging. Having people from different backgrounds and experiences can bring new ideas and different ways of keeping that system prospering in the future. Co-ops, I think are a way to keep the cost of living reasonable in a time where so many companies are out to get the highest dollar out of the lowest service and cost."
