Darcy Doblanko
Darcy Doblanko was elected to the Board of Directors in June 2019. "Being on the Board of Battle River REA is an honor and privilege. I believe that the strongest organizations are governed by a board that is made up of people with diverse backgrounds. I am confident that my background in the electrical and construction industries will provide additional perspective to help the Board make the decisions required to meet future challenges and opportunities".
Darcy was raised on a mixed farm in the Calmar area and returned to the family farm in 2000 to help support his parents. In 2010, he and his wife bought the family farm and are currently running a cow calf operation. Darcy started and ran a successful small electrical business in the early 1980's, eventually branching off to inspection and construction management with a number of large oil and gas companies including Pembina, AEC, Enbridge and Transcanada.
Darcy is an active member in his community and belongs to the Glen Park Community Association and serves as his church board vice president.
