Darrin Rasmuson
Darrin Rasmuson is a lifelong resident of the Gwynne area. After obtaining his B of Sc in Agriculture in 1993 he returned to the family farm, taking over a 40 cow dairy and growing it to the 100 milking females and 500 acres that it is today. Recently celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary, this father of 4 is looking for new challenges. "With my son finished Lakeland College and becoming the next generation on the farm, and 2 of my girls now in post-secondary, I have more time for other interests off of the farm."
Other activities along the way have included Northern Alberta Holsteins (9 years on executive), a delegate to Agrifoods International Cooperative, 10 years coaching minor soccer, 4 of coaching minor hockey with 6 years on the board, and now entering his 9th year as a hockey referee including 3 as the assignor .
Darrin, his brother Cory and their wives were recently honored with the Farm Family of the year award for their volunteer contributions to the community.
